I just wanted to share a party I had for my 15 year old daughter this year. We used the "Cowgirl Up" theme and it really was a blast. Three days before the party I purchased
wooden 'cowgirl' hats, small felt white cowgirl hats, wooden boots, wooden horse shoes, wooden saddle bags and cowgirl themed stickers for scrapbooking. I also purchased paisley material in
pink and red and some pin backs. I painted the wooden hats and attached them to a braided bandana made from the material and put the guests names on them. (see photo) Then for the party bags
I got a little cowgirl off the internet and I drew a jean pocket onto a white paper bag and drew stitching marks on the outside of the bag and wrote the guests names on them as well. I
also purchased small plastic horses and riders and put them on a purchased cake. I used the fall theme cake, it had candy leaf confetti on it and fit the season. Then for game prizes I
painted the small 'saddle' bags and filled them with cowgirl stickers for scrapbooking and small cowgirl pins and trinkets, candy and some nabs. We also purchased Bubba teeth and some Foam
cowboy hats from the local dollar store. Now this was the highlight of the party.
The girls all put on their bubba teeth and tried to sing country songs. Oh the sounds that came out of their mouths. What a hoot! The horses even came to the fence and showed THIER teeth. We served hamburgers, and hotdogs cooked over a campfire as we sat around it on bales of hay. The girls went horseback riding and we played a game of horse shoes and shot targets with beebe guns. It really seemed to be a lot of fun for the girls and we all know that Teenage girls are hard to please. So I hope with this experience shared that someone else out there can make their TEEN happy too. Cindy B. Woodlawn, Va.
