For my 16th birthday party I wanted to do something really fun and original, however i was on a limited budget so I immediatley began to discover some difficulties. After heaps of searching on
the net and some of my own mind work I came up with what was the best birthday party ever. I chose 6 of my closest friends, it was a good number and everyone knew at least one other person so
there was no awkwardness. I had all the girls meet at my place, where we did presents!!. The invitations I wrote stated "Wear a fun fancy outfit; make sure yopu include BIG earrings, BIG
hair and a BIG smile". The big spendup for me was hiring a limosuine, we had an hour tour around the city, saw all the lights (hot guys!!!) and drove along the water front, ecause i
didnt provide dinner (my party startd at 6.30) i provided yummy nibbles and we eac had a small glass of bubbles . About 5 months before my birthday party i looked up the National Ballet
Company Site. If you plan ahead student fees are cheap ($20 for B seats) and you can choose your seats if you go to a ticket booking place. We had 3rd row from the front and it was amazing,
everyone bought icecreams at half time ( i told them to bring change if they wanted to) and after my mum met us and we walked (3 minutes)to a nearby cafe where we had dessert (approx $10
each) and a cake ( check with the cafe owner a week or two before your party. After my mum and dad drove us home ( a bit different to the limo!!). Heres the breakdown for 7 girls, limo,
ballet, dessert
Limo $130 hour (we had 1 hour) Nibbles $25 Ballet $20 each ; $140 (but took 2 hours and was heaps of fun!!!) Dessert $50 + Cake $30 = $375 Limo wasnt necessary, but was so much fun, everyone stares when you get out to watch the ballet!! I chose no presents from Mum and Dad so I could do this, and it actually turned out to be the best present ever. Everyone had fun and wished they'd thought of it first!!!! Just make sure you invite girls who get along togethor...to make sure everyones comfortable and book your seats early to make sure you get good ones!!! good Luck for your parties!!!
