Well my idea is still in progress and not really adult but not kiddy either. I am planning out my own 15th birthday party, it is a tradition in my family to celebrate the 15th instead of the 16th.  I am planning my own party out because it is something I want to do when I'm older (events planner and interior designer) but no one ever lets me do anything for them, because "I'm too young!" Finally I get my chance! Here's what I'm doing...SO FAR...I have a party room in the basement of my church where my bash will be held.  My theme is elegant.  I am setting up a pond in the corner of the room with spotlights, fish in them and a bunch of white flowers circling them.  I am going to be having Frank Signature, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, and a bunch of other elegant sounding, jazzy, swing tunes playing. I'm going to have flowy, gauzy, satin and silk, green and white fabric draped in the middle of the room to form a fabric gazebo.  This will mark off the dance floor. There is going to be elegant seating in the rest of the room and a buffet.  There is also an ice cream buffet for dessert, where guests go up and pick the ice cream they want and the toppings.  It will be a dark room with tons of white lights to give a more elegant effect.  The cake is gonna beautiful, elegant (of course) and lit with tons of lights. The dress code is casual formal. When guests enter the room there will be a picture signing, a poster board with my picture on it and guests sign it to me.  There may also be karaoke and for sure there is a dancing contest. I am expecting over 100 guests...if my parents allow of course that number or more! Invitations are to be sent out.  I'm still thinking of more ideas and I have some time...Wish me Luck! ~heidi~
