My favorite season is summer, so for my sweet sixteen I wanted to do something at the beach. For my invitations I went to a local craft store and bought glass bottles, corks, sand, glitter,
ribbon, gift tags, decorative paper, and calligraphy paint pens. Then I filled the bottles with the sand and glitter and glued the corks into the tops and tied the ribbons in bows around the
necks of the bottles. Then I used the caligraphy pens and wrote You're Invited" on one side of the gift tags and "Sweet Sixteen by the Surf" on the other side. Then I tied the
tags onto the bows that were already on the bottles. Then on the computer I used decorative fonts and colors to type up my invitations and inserted a picture of myself as a little kid on the
top of the invitation under a banner that said "Guess Who's Turning Sixteen?!" and printed them out on the decorative parchment paper. Then I rolled up each piece of paper and tied
ribbon around it in a bow. I then paired each bottle with an invitation and put each pair in a bag with the invitee's name on the front and delivered them to my friends. For my actual party I
had an SUV limo pick us up from school at the end of the day and bring us to my family's beach house where we went to the beach and then changed into dresses did our makeup hair etc. Then we
went out to dinner at an exclusive restaraunt in a city near the beach we go to (we had to make the reseervations several months in advance) and then we went back to the beach and went on the
boardwalk in our dresses. Then we went back to the beach house and danced and talked. The next day we had breakfast went to the beach had a barbeque and then brought everyone back to my house
to be picked up. As a party favor I had T-Shirts custom made that said "------'s Sweet Sixteen" and the date in script on the front and said "Sweet Sixteen by the Surf" on
the back in big bubble-like letters. The shirts were a big hit with my friends because I gave them out in the morning and everyone decided to wear them to the beach over their bathing suits.
All in all the party was a huge success. "
