When it comes to a Sweet 16, having a theme (or color scheme) can really make the party.
My Sweet 16 is coming up in May and my little sister and I were brainstorming possible themes. She suggested bubbles, and I liked that idea. But I decided that a BUBBLE BATH theme would be really fun and totally cool especially since the room where I'm having it is blue. You can either book a DJ who has a bubble machine, or rent or buy one from a party store. You can get white, or see-through frosted white balloons (looking like bubbles from bubble bath) and see if you can find bubble-shaped confetti to put on the tables with blue tablecloth. If you wanted to, you could put rubber ducks on the tables. And I thought that fun party-favors would be like rubber ducks or soap that said like "Michelle's Sweet 16". (You could buy rubber ducks and then write on them with a Sharpie marker. Also a lot of bath stores will inscribe in soap if you ask them.) Or you could go to Bath and Body Works, SkinMarket, Body Shop, etc. and get bubble bath, shower gel, shampoo, or soap or something and hand those out as your favors. My sister, who loved this idea so much she wants to do the same thing in 2 years, wanted to tell her guests to bring slippers or pajama pants for dancing. I think that any teenager would get a kick out of all the bubbles, and the fun atmosphere of a Bubble Bath-themed Sweet 16 party. And plus bubbles on the dance floor would make it seem like a club!
