I am currently 15 years old. I have been looking forward to my sweet sixteen party for years. I have made up a group of 18 girls. (Just in case we have a couple drops, we will still have enough girls to do the party). we have started a year in advance so we can have fund raisers to lower the cost, and so we can have monthly parties to work towards our BIG BASH. At each monthly party we make something that will be at our BIG BASH. For example, at our first little party, we will buy  plastic forks, spoons, knives, and paper napkins and we will roll the plastic wear into the napkins. we will put the rolled napkins into a large box- and stick them in a closet. Now when the Sweet Sixteen comes, we will not have to worry about that. For our BIG BASH we are going to rent out an old antique looking house in Olde Town. The house has 3 upstairs bed rooms that we can get ready in. The stair case has a railing which is decorated with green ivory vines. Each girl will walk down the stairs and meet up with their escort at the bottom of the stair case. from there they will walk into the dining area where a huge semi-circle table is set up. (the girls will sit next to their escorts.) one-by-one each girl walks down and into the room with the table. when everyone sits down, and everyone is quite. a guest speaker will go up to a podium that will placed in the middle of the semi circle. (everyone is eating while the guest speaker and the girls are talking)the guest speaker will say one thing good about each girl. when the guest speaker is done, everyone gets up and talks and dances and wonders around. the party ends about 4 hours later, the girls have a limo that take them to a hotel, and the guys have a limo that brings them back to one of the guy's house. This seems like a VERY expensive party. But honestly- the fundraisers we had helped out A LOT. we had car washes, talent shows, dances, little sock hops, bake sales.. etc. It was a WONDERFUL experience.. if I could turn 16 again- I would definitely do it!
