My friends and I have an obsession with the show SURVIVOR so I thought it would be the perfect theme for my 13th birthday party. Once the 12 guests arrived we picked randomly from a bag which color buff we got, which showed which of the two teams of 6 we were on. After the teams were figured out, we painted our team flags. The flags were made of rough fabric from the fabric store and were painted with washable Crayola paint, then hung on the fence in the backyard. My mom made sure we were very creative with our names, my team was the hyperly-active rabid woodpeckering parakeets" randomly scattered in the backyard but using the directions north west east and south. Once all teammates were back on the porch we started from the blindfolds were removed and the team had to finish the puzzle. The first team to finish won reward chips and mini sodas. The second challenge involved duct-tape wrapped sticks  and stools. One player from each team stood on their own stool and tried to knock the other off. The winner of the challenge after all 6 rounds won reward fun shaped stress balls. At the time my mom and I found sumo-wrestler shaped stress balls for $1 each at TARGET. The third challenge involved 2 empty bottles of 2 liter sodas and a bowl of spaghetti (the noodles without sauce) covered in vegetable oil. Each team had 3 minutes to fill the bottle with as many noodles as possible butonly bringing one noodle at a time. To count the noodles we poured them out of the bottle and counted. If a noodle broke in half it didn't count. The winner was determined by the team with the highest amount of noodles at the end of the 3 minutes my team lost by one noodle! Reward was a HERSHEY chocolate bar. Fourth each team was given a plate of 35 gummy worms first to finish wins and thanks to a last minute contribution from Genevieve NO HANDS! Reward: SKITTLES GUM. Fifth was a stick throwing contest. One player stood 10 yards from a hula-hoop tied to a string hanging from 2 trees. The sticks used earlier were  used for 3 tries to get the sticks through the hoop the winning team was determined by whoever    had gotten the most amount of sticks through the hoop. Reward: mini hula-hoop. Sixth was an eating contest. Each player from each team chose a covered plate with a mystery meal. We ended up eating everything from animal crackers to dark chocolate and peanut butter to SPAM. inthe end the team with the most members who completely finished their sample won the challenge. Teh winner of the whole SURVIVOR challenge was determined by the amount of total challenges won. Luckily there wasn't a tie. Because of all the eating we had done earlier instead of cake we had cookies. We then played kareokee on my new PS2. I had 3 girls spend the night and eat the rest of the cookies! We each kept our buffs and wore them to school th enext Monday! The whole party took around 4 hours enough time for us to complete the challenges and have some fun afterwards!  "
