Fear Factor Birthday On my daughter's 13th birthday, I wanted to do something different than just a slumber party. So my sister & I went to work.  Keeping in mind that we had to consider that these were only kids.  This is what we did: Game 1 - Bug Transfer: We bought live crickets and mealworms and 4 mini trash cans (with swinging lids) and put the cickets in one can and mealworms in the other. The other 2 cans is where the  Bugs will be transfered. We set a time limit as to how many bugs the girls could transfer. And of course, the one with the most bugs transfered got a prize. Game 2 - Ring Toss:  We had 6 buckets & 3 hard plastic rings that you can toss. We lined up the buckets in a straight line and in the bottom of the buckets, were slips of paper taped to the bottom of the bucket and if told you what you had to eat.  We went online and got chocolate covered Ants, mealworms, & crickets. We had each of the girls take turns throwing the rings and seeing what combination of Bugs that they would eat. (They had no idea that the bugs were chocolate covered, they thought that they had to eat the ones from the first game, the suspence was great)  Game 3 - Find the key for the lock: We had 5 keys that were cut slitely different and 1 key that fit the lock. We buried the keys in scoopable kitty litter, we used tootsie rolls and well umm cat poop (very convincing, the girls all thought that it was cat poop) They were timed on this. The one that dug out the key that fit the lock the fastest won. We also made stickers for the girls that said "I ate a bug at Jessie's Fear Factor Birthday Party.  This party was a hit, they talked about it for months and asked when Jessie was going to have another one.  We also had other games, but the Fear Factor was the best. Hope if you do this for your kids birthday, you have as much fun as we did.
