For my 13th birthday party... I had a spa theme. For invitations I made it look like it was a spa invite to regular spa go-ers as ads. It read all the details and i sent it in the mail to my friends. 6 people including me went. When people pulled into the driveway, they went to my front door and picked a bag off the table near the steps. Inside was fake gift-certificates and coupons, nail filer, and a little diary and pen. My front room was the seating area or waiting room. There was a small table near the door with a check-in book and a sign. The sign read all the things you could select from. (Facial, Hair, Makeup, Massage, Manicure, and Peticure) You could select everything if you wanted. But some people didn't want everything. All of it was paid in the fake money. They paid and went to set their sleeping bag up and put their stuff down. This way we could meditate and have massages later. I had hired one of my friends (a pro. masseuse [sorry if misspelt!]) and she came and did the hand massage while everyone was waiting. My mom had made the facials, and when everyone had arrived... we went into the dining room where 6 martini glasses were set up. We put in sparkling cider, flavored water, juice, etc. into the glasses and spread out magazines. This way, they could relax while I applied the facials. I made sure each girl's hair was tied back and I put a headband in to keep bangs back. When everyone's was done.... we washed it off and cleansed their faces with a face cleanser and warm water. Then we dried them off and I took each girl, one at a time into the back. I washed their hair in the sink and styled it. When it was done.... they went and sat down in the medetation room. (though they didnt know it was for meditating!) They read magazines and drank their drinks. After each girl had their hair done and they were all in the medetation room. My friend and I went in. We had all the manicure stuff ready and lead them back into the dining room. She did manicures and hand massages on everyone, including me. Then we went back into the medetation room and all sat on our sleepig bags. When I had explained that everyone was getting a back massage while they meditated, they all freaked out! :) So we started and I even had a massage. Then, we all played games like truth or dare, would you rather, telephone, and just talked! We all had fun. We finally fell asleep at about 4 in the morning.... and woke up at 10:30 the next morning. No one had disturbed us.... and my parents just left us alone. So for breakfast we had pancakes, french toast, bacon, toast, eggs, etc. from my mom and dad. At about 12, everyone went home. My party was a TOTAL sucess. But for snacks we all had finger foods. And for dinner, we had pizza and chicken. Yum! :) Thanks for reading!!!
