Since it seems that the website is seriously lacking CHEAP parties, I thought that I'd help ;). My sister and I have birthday's in the same month, and to save
money it always happens that we have a double party squished together. Since I am turning 14, and this seems like one of the last all girl birthdays I'll have,(Co-ed parties seem to be what
my friends will be interested in soon \*rolls eyes\*) I thought I would do the normal cliche Spa party. The invitations will be the face(Drawn by moi)of a girl with a towel on her head. The
towel part will open up and say, "This year, MY special day is YOURS too! Come to ____'s house at (Address here) on (day) at (time) for some pampering fun! Feel free to bring beauty
products to share!Be sure to bring your favorite outfit for a fashion show!" For my sister's friends, it will have a the face of a girl in a princess hat and the hat will open up to
say,"Be whoever you want at ____'s party on (day) at (time)in the castle at (address). Feel free to bring dress up clothes to share with your child's name on the tags" One issue
that comes up every year is the fact that my soon-to-be 8yr. old sister and her friends want to crash the "Big Kids" party, and every year we have very little money to spend. To
solve this problem, I decided that while I have a few friends over for a Makeover/Spa party, my little sister can have a Dress up party! What I am going to do is go to cheap places like 5 and
below, Dollar stores and Pharmacies to get things like lotions, facial masks, nail polish and make-up. I am also going to stores like Target and Wal-Mart, where they have sales on stuff that
has been opened or unpackaged. We will also bring out our vast collection of old scented candles. Since this party is taking place at the begining of October, we are going to get Halloween
costumes (in addition to my sisters own dress up clothes) for her dress-up party. We will get fruits and junk food for snacks, and instead of cake, cupcakes with butterfly clips bought at the
dollar store. At the actual party, the older kids will arrive earlier than the younger kids to help make plain party hats/bracelets out of contruction paper, so when the little kids actually
arrive, they can decorate the hats and stuff while waiting and stay out of the older kid's hair. After that, the older kids will go down in the basement to start prepping everything and the
younger kids will go up to my sister's room to play. When we are ready, we will bring the little girls down to the basement and help them dress up. We will then put some make-up on them
(Nothing too extreme, these are 7 and 8 year olds!)and there will be votes for most pretty makeover and every little girl will get prizes of hairclips and CLEAR lip gloss (Oh yes, we do love
those dollar stores). Then, they will get to do their versions of "Makeovers" on us and will be sent upstairs to play some more.Once the little girls are upstairs, we will wash off
the makeup they put on us, light candles and start facials. While the facials set, we will give each other pedicures and manicures and listen to music (We love that good old free internet
radio too!)We will then take polaroids of ourselves and put on make-up and clothes and such for the "After" pics. Once we are all ready, the little ones will be brought in the
living room and my mom will be with them. My friends and I will do a fashion show and the little kids will see the before and after photos, and vote for their favorite makeover. The winner
gets a small nail polish and then we watch as the little girls put on their fashion show (Because knowing my sister, if we do it, she has to do it as well). Afterwards, the small ones (Having
had their fill of fun time with the big kids) will then settle down for movies, cupcakes and bed. We will go downstairs and do kareoke, read magazines, dance, be nutcases, watch movies and
just MAYBE sleep :). The next day, before and after photos will be given and guests will return home. When the guests leave, we will open presents and send out thank you cards. (We open
presents afterwards so that no one feels embarassed if their presents are small or whatever) We than clean up and have family over for a Sunday dinner. I Hopey-you-Likey! ;) Roxy
