My daughter's 13th birthday (today) Invitation read: you're invited to ________ 13th Birthday Party! date time place ( my home)
It's a hair party! A professional hair dresser will be here to style our hair and show us how to do it. She will also give each of us a foil highlight with permission from your parent. If you want more, they are $3 each. Choose from blond, brown or red. The party is now over and the girls LOVED it! We started with lunch, pizza snacks etc. My hairdresser brought all her equipment and products to use. The girls could choose thier color and how many extras they wanted. I chose to charge for the extras because I like to throw fun, unique birthday parties that don't cost through the roof!! I could have chosen any number of highlights to be included. My stylest was very creative and helped the girls choose colors, and different styles of foils. She also gave the girls great tips on healthy hair and when she styled their hair while showing them how to use the products, what kinds of gel or mousse or spray, and how to use the tools. She used a variety of styles so the girls could try them at home as well! We held the party in our rec room, with air hockey, music, and X-Box available to keep them occupied while they waited for foils, or friends to be finished. So all the girls went home with their goodie bag" gift of highlights and nail polish. We went with this idea because the girls are at the age where they are starting to fuss over their looks. So starting them off with some great looks and good hair health ideas seemed like a lot of fun. And ... my daughter has been begging for hightlights for quite a while. So much fun to do it with a bunch of friends. She said after the party that it was the best one yet! "
