For my daughter's 14th birthday, I surprised her with a sleepover with 7 of her friends. While she was at dance, the guests arrived. While I was picking her up,
the girls finished decorating the cake which looked like 8 girls in sleeping bags. (Twinkies halved and frosted with a vanilla cookie wafer for the head, & a marshmallow for the pillow).
The girls personalized the cake to make each girl look like themselves. After my daughter arrived, we had pizza and played some fun games that don't require game pieces. They were very silly
games that got the giggling started. I had bought some men's plain white t-shirts (as a sleep shirt) to decorate with fabric paints and markers for the party souvenir. The girls had a ball
decorated them and signing each girls shirt. They used their hand prints and feet prints and made a mess but it cleaned up nicely. After the shirts dried, I took a picture of all of them
wearing their shirts. It was a nice memory for all the girls to take home since all were signed by the guests in attendance. I had tons of snacks that hardly got touched because they were
having too much fun.
Chips were the favorite with veggies and dip next. We were prepared with cookie dough for the later hours. I let the girls use the video camera and they had fun filming one another doing a play. They laughed harder while viewing it. I took lots of pictures too. I went to bed around 2:00 a.m. and the girls stayed up and watched a video. I served breakfast in the morning and took the girls home. It was one of the funniest parties my daughter has had and all the girls had a blast. Even some of the girls who weren't going to sleepover talked their parents into staying. My daughters friends still talk about the party and can sleep in their oversize shirt they made themselves!
