My 12th Birthday Party is coming soon to a sleeping bag near you.  It goes like this...  My four closest friends are coming. One friend, who lives by the motto of 'you only live once' has decided to help me out. We are going to sleep in a tent.  My friend (lets call her Hilary so I don't keep saying 'my friend') has decided to help me.  We already have the tent set up.  We got some Mardi Gras Beads to hang in the door of the tent so it looks like a hippy trend.  The pattern of the beads spells out my name.  Anyway, we planned a treasure hunt.  The prizes being make up bath an body products or Dollar Store galore items that can really be neat (hair accessories, etc). We made out clues and they got riddles maps and directions.  They each have a different location.  One girl will have to find a 'key' to put in the slot to open a door to get to her next clue. We are doing and awards ceremony as well. 8 different categories-calmest; prettiest; craziest; best smile; funniest; best personality; most mature; and most fun at parties. Hilary and I made paper chains, laterns, etc which we are going to use to decorate the inside of the tent with. We are gonna gossip a lot!! Do quizzes from 4 different quiz books, and play games. Before the night-time events occur we will be having a lot of fun by...  Having a water balloon fight with teams until one person on each team is left.  We're going to spray silly string on eachother and fill balloons with water and one with silly string and the guests will pop them and whoever pops the silly string one wins.  We are going to order pizza and have a dairy queen cake and open presents of course! I plan on doing a tug of war match as well.  My pool has a deck all the way around it so we will divide into teams and tug until one team falls into the water!   Then as night time comes we are going to go night swimming! I plan on having water games such as the noodle hop and balance. You plan by everyone getting a fun noodle and they balance it on their feet and everyone starts to hop around and the last one who has their noodle still under their feet wins. Also find the rings underwater.. its pitch black remember!  Once we dry off well watch a movie and eat popcorn change into our pjs load up on snacks and get into the tent.  There we will play truth or dare, gosssssssip (!), have a confession session, play light as a feather stiff as a board, do a game called pass it on down stories-u start a story and make it funny someone starts and then they stop in the middle of a sentence or thought and the next person has to continue. The worst part of this game is that the story isn't always going to turn out the way you want it to.  Also we will play Guess Who It Is- everyone has to write something down according to the topic, say its fav. color and one of the girls picks pink, you try to guess who put that down. Another game I have is called That's What I Like About You.  A good time to play this game is if there is an argument at the party or right before everyone is about to go to sleep. Everyone sits in a circle and one person spins a flashlight.  Whoever it lands on, they have to go to everyone and say, for example, Sara, your so kind and respectful. The rest of the guests must SING loudly THAT'S WHAT I LIKA ABOUT YOOOOOU! This is a pure ego boost and it's humorous at the same time.    In the morning we will make eggs toast or cereal and eat around the piknik table.  The guests all except 'Hilary' will stay till 12. Then Hilary and I will go swimming and recall the great sleepover!  Hope I have given u plenty to think about!!
