I'm turning 15 in a few weeks and my mom wasn't to big on a sleepover but the report cards came out in time for preparing my birthday so my mom said since i had good grades i could invite 3 other people. We aren't having a hard time in the economy it was just that since she really didn't want me to have a sleepover i figure making it cheaper will make it happier  Invitations: Very cheap and simple, type something up on microsoft word and pick out a cute font and i used 2 colors Black and Pink as the theme. Then I printed them out and used crazy scissors to cut them and glue them on to pink paper that we already had. So far cost = 0 $ Decorations: Since we just got a new couch and our wood floors aren't that comfy and we have so many sheets and comforters i'm going to cover pretty much the whole room in a layer of sheets pillows and blankets. Then I picked a black table cloth, pink plates, pink napkins, black cups, black forks and black knives and i'll set the table we are going to be eating at. Then i'm going to blow up pink and black balloons and tie them with white string, again if you don't want to be cheap it is cool to use helium because when everyone falls asleep the balloons are up on the ceiling and when you wake up surrounded by them, and i'll tie a few to the mailbox as well to be festive. Decorations total 30 dollars. Activities: My mom and my friends have a lot of movies so I'll probably take about 2 out to watch. Then since one of my friends is kind of a tom boy we are going to do her hair and makeup and take pictures. I have a wii and rockband and i'll download some more songs for variety. I also googled good truth or dares because everyone wants to play that game but no one can think of anything good. The dares should be funny but harmless (such as Call a boy and sing mary had a little lamb, put ice o until it melts, let everyone give you a peanut butter mustache ect.) I can also pull out some board games i already have. cost 0 dollars Food: an hour into the party i'll have my mom go to little ceasars and get cheese pizza with crazy all over. We will also eat popcorn, red vines, M&M's, and cookies. For breakfast we will have donuts Cake: Instead of cake i want my mom to make homemade chocolate cupcakes and pink frosting. (food cost 34 dollars) Final cost 64 dollars Pricing tips: I looked at the grocery store and the party store online and added up the prices ahead of time so i could tell my mom. I also use this neat trick to make the final cost seem higher. since i dont know much about tax i round everything to the nearest dollar fifty. so for example 3.20 would turn into 4.50 This will make your parents happier because it will seem like they came out with less and then they are more likely to get you another game or something else because it wasn't the cost they thought)
