For my fourteenth birthday I wanted to do something totally amazing and fun since I hadn't had a birthday party in a while. I had a lot of friends I wanted to
invite so I didn't want to do a lot of things that were going to cost a lot of money, so I decided to have a sleepover. I love having sleepovers and they're always a lot of fun. The only
problem I had was two of my best friends are allergic to cats and dogs and I have two indoor cats and two indoor dogs, so I couldn't have it at my house. I talked to my mom's friend who owns
a coffee shop, and she agreed to let me host a sleepover there (for free.)
INVITATIONS for invitations I went to the dollar store and found these cute little papers in the shape of coffee cups with steam coming out, so we got those. My sister, my mom, and I wrote all the details on them. We printed on them Whether you like coffee or not you have to come to Bailey's Coffee House 14th. Then we included all the details, like what to bring, and the time of the party. Including that they should bring their makeup bags, and three of their cutest outfits, and that they shouldn't bring a present, just the amount of money they would spend on a present for the birthday girl ( whatever amount is perfectly fine, you also didn't have to bring any at all.) Decorations- I didn't want to spend alot of money of decorations because they would just get thrown away the next day but we did end up getting some. We got pink, blue, and purple ballons, and some confetti guns along with some silly string (all purchased at the Everythings A Dollar" store" PARTY TIME- When 7:00pm came around my friends arrived at the coffee house. My mom my friend and my friend's mom had got there before and made all kinds of cappuccinos and filly coffees. We also had all kinds of baked goods like brownies and cookies laid out. We all sat around talking and eating coffee and snacks while we were waiting for everybody to arrive. Once everybody got there we told everyone we were going out to a concert that was sponsored by a local radio station where I live. The best thing was that there was some big artist performing and that tickets were only 5 dollars! If there's not a cheap concert going on during your party you can always just go to a movie instead. So everybody that was at the party laid out the three outfits we each brought and the task was to pick out the cutest outfit you could but you had to have at least two items of someone else's on. We did sort of the same thing with hair and makeup someone else had to do your hair and makeup you weren't allowed to do it yourself. When it came to nails I and my two best friends had piled our supply of nail polishes together so we could give each other manicures. Which turned out to be crazy because you weren't allowed to pick your own colors or how they looked. We all piled into my mom and my aunts van to drive to the concert. At the concert we all had so much fun and we all got compliments on our outfits and one of the girls even got a compliment on her nails. After the concert the night wasn't over. My mom and aunt drove us to the local Wal-Mart. We all piled out of the van and into the store and explained what we were doing. I explained that the money you brought for the present would be spent tonight on anything I point out that I like (and you want to buy me) or anything you see I might like or the third product of the isle. That was the fun one because I ended up getting all kinds of crazy things because the items tended to be cheap I had so many random things but there were cool things too. After buying presents (which I wasn't allowed to see) we went to the bakery in Wal-Mart and went through the book of cake ideas (the 9.99 ones) and closed our eyes and picked one randomly we showed it to the girl with our eyes closed and told her not to let us see it and to put the regular Happy Birthday stuff on it. After that we went back to the coffee shop and fell asleep. The next morning we woke up and had coffee and breakfast foods and watched movies until parents picked their kids up. I may have not had a party in the past couple years but this party was totally worth it. "
