Mall Slumber Party 13yr

February 2009

For my 13th birthday I wanted to do something really fun with my best friends. I also didn't want a party that just lasted a couple of hours so that is when I came up with the idea of a Mall Slumber Party." INVITATIONS: For invitations we used Microsoft Word to save money. I used text boxes to make the invitations look like a credit card. I put all the usual things and what to bring for the slumber party such as a sleeping bag stuffed animal pillow toothbrush ect. I sent the invitations out 2 and a half weeks ahead of time.  DECORATIONS: For decorations we used the colors pink and silver. We hung party streamers on all of the party rooms in my house such as the family room and kitchen. We also had silver and pink balloons some with helium and some without.  We had probably about 100 of those in every room which kept us very entertained.  We found at Party City a slumber party table cloth with girls having a pillow fight.  I also spread pink and sliver stars all over the kitchen table. ACTIVITIES: I invited 6 of my best friends including me to the party.  It started at my house at about 4PM.  We served chicken wings and salad.  Everyone finished eating around 4:30PM.  That is when the big surprise came.  We had a pink stretch limo come and pick all of us up.  The limo was for ten people but there was only 7 including my mom so there was tons of room.  There were tons of non- alcoholic drinks for us to drink and we did!  The limo took us to the mall which is about 20 minutes from where I live.  It was so fun and everybody loved it. When we got to the mall my mom gave each of us $20 to spend on anything we'd like.  My mom shopped around by herself and then in about an hour we met up and got a pizza from Sabaro's. Then we continued shopping like we did before.  After about another hour my friends and i met up with my mom and we went to a salon to get manicures our hair done and our make-up done. Everyone was so happy and we looked like super models! Then the limo picked us up and drove us back to our house. Then we had a photo shoot where everyone pretends to be models and poses for pictures. It was so funny! Then one at a time changed into our pajamas and we had a scavenger hunt of random things; i forgot what we looked for since it was last month but all I know was it was really fun and we split everyone up into teams of two and the 2 winners got candy of their choice. Then we made body glitter which your can find a recipe for on Google.com.  After that we played twister and had a sance and karaoke contest.  Then my parents made a snack stand in the kitchen like a real movie theatre and had to buy tickets with game money.  everyone loved it and felt like they were in a real movie theatre.  Finally we popped "Sleepover" into the DVD player and we talked and talked about random stuff while watching the movie. In the morning my mom made us waffles with whipped cream and strawberries.  All of the girls went home at 11:30.  All of my friends keep talking about how this was the best party they every went to!  I hope this helps somebody with a birthday party idea!"
