As a Mom of four.. I know what it's like for your little girl to want the BEST party ever.. and for there to not be enough money.. We went though this with my
youngest daughter Natashlyn last year. The 13th birthday has to be THE BEST!" Your too young for drinking.. and too old for princesses. So I came up with a fun idea.. I mixed- theme
party for her closest friends and Tash. It was an (All Weekend Thing) BUT.. In the end.. very cheap ! ***INVITATIONS*** For the invites since the theme was mixed we just went to *Dollar Plus*
And bought 2 packages of invites it came to 2.00. Kids do not care about invites most of the time.. they loose them anyways! ***CAKE*** Well.. I didn't want to spend 80.00 on a cake~! Soo
what I did
was I went to the food store and bought 2 packages of brownies and 2 packs of cookies. (THIS DOUBLES AS AN ACTIVITY) It costed 5.00. ***ACTIVITIES/ GAMES*** For these I knew exactly what to do! Tash's friends walked home from school with her on friday. When they first arrived I sent them to the park to play soccer.. This activity doesn't cost anything! Unless you don't have a ball.. But there cheap! if your party is in the winter.. why not go sledding?! They played that until I called them home for dinner supper was basic.. I bought ENGLISH MUFFINS and Primo Pizza Sauce and cheese and made pizza.. It costed about 10.00. See? We've got almost everything done and I've only spent about 20.00.! Next we opened gifts. Then it was time to bake! They made the borwnies and cookies. By this time it was about 7:00PM. Soo while the treats baked.. they played Monopoly. Everyone enjoys a good board game ! AND its free. :) After playing the game.. it was 11:00. So they settled down with a movie. As treats eat what you baked! That way your not spending 30.00 or more on food.I'm pretty sure that they watched TWILIGHT but im not sure. If you don't want to rent a movie another money saver is asking each guest to bring one.. then doing a vote! They watched the movie then were asleeep! the next morning they woke up to the aroma of pancakes! I had purchesed fruit and such so they could decorate them too. we had a 5.00 giftcard to DQ for whoever did the best! So far the party had costed 30.00. Girls LOVE horses so I thought it'd be fun to go out to a Local horse farm once there the girls got to groom and walk the horses! Farm's count that as volunteer work and its fun! AND FREE. Now it was about 2:00. So we went home and had hamburgers for lunch.. it was about 15.00. Then the girls decided that they wanted to swim.. ask friends and family if you can use the pool for afew hours after swimming it was now 5:30. Soo DINNER TIME. We had lasagne.. it costed about 10.00 to make. So far I've only spent about 50.00. Next it was time for a trip to the MOVIE THEATRE.. with this idea.. ask the kids to pay for themselves.! Parents dont mind sending along 15.00. AND its a way to pass time. Movie was done at 9:00. So they came home and we had set out stuff for a spa night they could MAKE facial creams.. theres tons of recipes on the interet.. and give eachother manis pedis and massages.. It costed about 10.00 if you ask girls to bring thepolish. SO FAR IVE SPENT 60.00. They did that and went right to bed. The next morning i just made toast and eggs. They girls left at 11:00AM. My daughter ahd soo much fun! Tash wants the same thing next year. **GOODIE BAGS** For these we gave each girl a Laura Secord SUCKER and some other bulk candies. Tash's party costed about 75.00 in the end. It was fun for her! And they haven't stopped talking about it. Hope you use my ideas."
