We sent out invitations for daughter's thirteenth birthday saying for everyone to meet at noon at a licafe downtown. When all twelve girls (including my daughter) got there, we ate lunch and then they had to sit there while my husband and I explained instructions. They would get a list of 20 items, a disposable camera that could hold 21 pictures, and (if nobody had one) a cell phone with my number in it. We divided them into teams of three and took a picture of each team. Then, they were told to go around town and take a picture of each item.  They were also told that they had to meet back at the cafe in two hours.  We were a little nervous about the kids being out alone, so we got four adults - one would go with each team (my sister, my sister-in-law, and my two nieces who were 18 and 21). The things on the list ranged from a blue shirt to a picture with Dale at Webb Food Market. Meanwhile, my husband went home with my eldest daughter (who was 17) and decorated our back yard. At 3:00, all the teams returned successfully.  They got to ride around town in a limo while my husband and I finished some things up. We took the cameras to CVS for one hour development, made our food, and did odds and ends. When the girls came back around 4:30, they were getting kind of hungry so we got it started. They had to go around our neighborhood where each neighbor agreed to make a dish for the dinner. They started at our next door neighbors of appetizers, then they went to another one for drinks, then to another for salad, to ours for the main dish, and to another neighbors for cake. It worked really well! They came back and by then the pictures were back.  Everybody did well, so each kid got a $5 gift card to Wal-Mart. We rented movie and ate popcorn. The girls went to bed around 1:30. The next day all but two of her friends went home. They had breakfast and then we went to the mall.  We took the girls home around 4:30. Everyone was tired, but had a blast!!
