It was only three weeks before my 15th birthday and I still didn't have an idea for a party. I go to an art school for drama, and since I am theater obsessed I thought, why not do the Tony
Awards? My mother loved the idea so we started making the invitations. We bought jewel tone construction paper and regular white paper. We folded the the white paper inside the construction
paper in half so it opened up like a little book. We bought fabric with sparkley silver stars and glued it onto the front. We wrote all of the information on the inside with a metalic gold
pen and sprinkled glitter inside. It was the 75th and 1/2 annual Tony Awards. Every guest had to come prepared to perform a song and give an acceptance speech. We had the celebration at a
nearby playhouse theater. My mom bought a "red carpet" for the guests when they arrived. The party started out with a cocktail hour (with smoothies and cheese and crackers)outside
of the theater since the theater was in a beautiful park on the water. After that, all the guests moved inside and we started. I had the opening speech and the opening number. We got little
statues in the dollar store that looked like little tropheys. We spray painted them gold and wrote everyone's names on them with a different color gold squeeze paint. Everyone performed their
song and recieved their award. We had different awards such as, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Playwrite. Different awards that all fit my friend's personalities. After that we set up tables
for a buffet style dinner. Everyone had to come dressed in semy-formal attire. It was amazing! We all had so much fun and people were talking about it in school for the rest of the week. My
mom worked so hard to make it magical for me and I couldn't have asked for it to have been better!!!
