My idea is called the Oscar party. I saw a similar one here for last month, but I changed it around to suit my age group. First I will send out invitations asking each person to dress up as a
famous singer and bring their song/CD. I also told them to be prepared to lip-synch to their choice of song. Also included in the invitation will be a ballot slip with nominees under several
categories in which I had chosen. They are directed to give them back to me and I will tally up the scores to be sure everyone gets a Oscar. When they enter the door my sister [like in last
months idea] Will greet each guest give them a choice of variety of sodas and direct them to the audience area which I will have set up ahead of time. Then after everyone arrives my sister
will introduce me as the host of Stephanie's Oscars 2000. We will begin with a lip-syncer and alternate the lip-syncing performances with the winners of each of the categories, until there
are no categories or performances left. Then I will quickly decide with the help of my sisters, who was best dressed as their star and the best performance. they will receive a extra prize!
After the Oscar part is over There will be an after party with cake, ice-cream and presents. After the after-party the party is not over yet. We are going on a scavenger hunt and whatever
team makes it to my house first wins. Not over yet my friends get to sleep over, and the next day the party is finally over. It is going to be a major success and I hope if you pick this
birthday party idea you have just as good of a time as I. p.s. for awards I will buy plastic Oscars and fill the opening with candy. I will also give awards printed from my computer!!
