I  sent out invitations to my 9th year party that was an Oscar party and had everyone think of some talent they could go. I told everyone that Oscars would be handed out for different reasons.  My friends came with such talents as piano playing to lip-syncing to karate to a magic show etc. We taped everyone's performance and showed the video at the end of the evening. When everyone arrived my older sister was dressed like a butler and greeted everyone at the door then proceeded to hand out a      and sparkling cider in plastic disposable champagne glasses. Everyone had a great time.  We always end the evening with an outdoor search for the pot of gold that my mom has given us clues to find and it is especially fun because its at night. We sent everyone home with mini gold paper Oscars and other things.
