For my thirteenth birthday party I wanted something really classy and cool. Since I love to make things, I decided to have my party at a craft centre. I know that doesn't scream "classy" but it was a very good idea because it was so inexpensive. My party was 2 hours long and for the first hour my 9 guests and I made a really cool picture frame/mirror craft. The next hour is when it starts getting good. The room was decorated with my favourite colours, pink, lime green, purple and white with star confetti on the tables and chairs with helium baloons everywhere in coordinating colours. We ate: zesty doritos(these taste better than the regular kind) and popcorn. My friends and I had so much fun playing games like musical chairs, with a twist. When we would play the song, if you happened to get out of the game, guess the name of the song that was played during the game. If you were correct, you are still out but you get a prize. The winner and the runner up also get a prize. Other games were scavenger hunt, for jelly bracelets in my theme colours and individually wrapped candies. Another big hit was a game called hilarious balloon where you throw a balloon up in the air, and everyone must laugh. When it floats to the ground, you must be silent. You are out if you laugh when you're not supposed to. For a cake I wanted something people would remember so i got chocolate brownies with white icing on top and my mom used pink and purple icing and piped on stars. In the centre of the stars i put on those metallic cola balls (they look like metal jawbreakers) which everyone loved. After the party I gave out goodie bags in  mini chinese take-out containers(you can get these at craft stores) with various favours like scrunchies, lip-gloss and candies. After the party my best friend and I went back to my house for a sleepover. We ate leftover brownies and the snacks from the party. We decided we would not waste a moment so we had facials, pedicures and more. We did our hair and took glamour shots with my digital camera. We looked so nice! When we got tired, we had more munchies while we crashed on the couch and watched aquamarine (this is a really good movie for best friends. Other ideas include Sleepover, 13 going on 30 and any hilary duff or lindsay lohan movies). When we got tired we took mattresses off of our beds and lay on them while we watched tv and gossiped. When we woke up in the morning it was 10:30 and my mom prepared the yummiest breakfast ever! we had mini angel food cakes we bought from the grocery store and covered them in chocolate chips,strawberries and sugar. Before my friend and I had to go home, we went shopping at the local mall. My present from her (my mom and her planned it) was to buy me a complete outfit including shoes and accessories! I was so happy that as a gift to her, my mom bought my best friend and I matching flipflops! I was so happy! I hope you like my idea!
