For my 14th Birthday, I had a little celecration at my house. I thought it would TOTALLY suck... while I was planning it I almost called it off because I thought
it was such a bad idea... I even cried! But when the party day came, only 5 people came. So, plus me, there were 6 of us. I thought it'd be boring for them because there was only 6 of us and
most of them weren't even friends with each other but... It TOTALLY ended up being SOOO much fun we decided on doing dit all over again but just for fun (and without cake and stuff and it'd
be a sleepover at my friends house who had a pool, balcony, and a big back yard with great hiding places for water balloon tag). So when guests started coming, we played Dance Dance
Revolution and I had A bunch of snacks out (chips, chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries, soda). After my 4 friends that were all new to the game were introduced to it and had at least
played 2 songs, my best friend and I went up and played on the Maniacal Level and TOTALLY surprised everyone else that they ended up being determined to get better. Then we played racing
games using the dance mats and there'd be 3 people on a team and we'd all try to cooperate and use our hands on the dance mats.
After all that, we went outside and since I had already blown up more than 500 water baloons, we played a balloon toss kind of thing where we got partners and one of us would be on the balcony while the partner was down below, we'd have to throw it up and down and not let it pop. My friends Lindsey and Emma won the game... they had thrown it 15 times!!! So we had a giant water balloon tag game where you throw awater balloon at someone to make them it and then we had a massive water balloon fight. After all the balloons were dead, our backyard had little specs of color (from the ballons) all over the place but it was EASY clean-up. Then we played Pin the Eyebrow on Spongebob (i like being creative... I totally just made it up) Then we got the Twister game mat, brought it outside, put water all over it causing a totally fun you-slip, you-lose game of Twister... the winners would win 5 water balloons (I had about a hundred left over which we blew up) and the 3 winners got to peg the 3 losers. I was one of the losers. But of course... the 3 winners shared their 15 balloons with the other 2 losers and got me soaked and of course they stole that other 70 ish balloons and KILLED me with them... it looked like I jumped into a pool with all my clothes on!!! So after wards... we washed dirt off ourselves with the hose, dried off, changed clothes, and watched Bruce Almighty while eating various kinds of candy, chips, fondue, brownies, and cookies. Finally, we cut the cake (that was big enough of 20 people even though there was only 6 of us), ate gigantic peices, made ice cream sundaes, and listened to music and my friend Ri-ri did her dance routine she had recently learned in Dance-Pop-Jazz-Tap class. Then, the highlight of the night, my friend brought her PS 2 and we played Karaoke revolution and we all made fools out of ourselves. Then we ran outside, had a silly string fight (we had teams... green and orange. Whoever got the most on the other team won woofah sponges that came with BEAUTIFULLY scented candles and incense. But of course, the losing team got that same thing because its only fair). Once everyone started heading home, I sent em home with little Chinese Take-Out boxes from a restaurant my friends mom owns (so we got em free) and they were filled with all sorts of fun-size candies and fortune cookies that I made myself so I was also able to write personal thank you fortunes inside (THEY WERE SOOOOOO SURPRISED!). So everyone went home with chinese take out boxes filled with candy and fortune cookies, woofah sponges with incense and candles, a silly string trophy (a sticker on it reading "first place in the silly string competition) and a 2 dollar gift certificate to Dairy Queen. My friend all called me or talked to me online that next day saying it was the best EVER party they've EVER been to, including their own! (My party theme was "Miscellaneous: I had Star Wars cups, Barbie plates, Stuart Little Napkins, Rugrats Table covers, pink forks, green spoons, blue ketchup for the hotdogs, a luau "happy birthday" sign, buzz lightyear signing poster, a fire fighter cake... VERY cute from Costco, little purple elephant party hats, leis, mardi gra beads, and chinese take out goody bags. All of my decorations, but the chinese take-out boxes, were all new and EXTRMELY cheap from a thrift store. I spent less than $10 on decorations and BOY was my living room, family room, and backyard SOOOO cute and funny with all that randomness all over!)
