Hey! I'm Louisa and I just turned 14. I had a fantastic party. It may sound incredibly extravagant, and it sort of was. I would not call my immediate family rich
so this is what I did. Firstly, I worked all year long at a daycare about 2 days a week and by the end of the year I had saved up 2000$, so I contributed 200$ to my party piggy bank. Then, I
asked all my relatives that instead of presents I would love for them to contribute any amount of money, big or small, to my party fund! From all these presents, I recieved 750$ and this was
from about 15 people who donated anything from 20-120$. Finally, my parents gave me 200$ (which included contributions from my siblings). My parents were still able to give me presents. So in
total, I spent 1,150$ but this was not a huge blow to one single person.
HERE IS MY SCHEDULE: FRIDAY: One group of three of my best friends and I spent the day with me! 3- Arrive at my house after school with sleepover stuff that we dropped off. 3-4:30- My friends and I really like cooking so we made a feast! We made gourmet cookies, pasta and sauce, french fries, chocolate mousse, and salad. Then, my mom set up a table with a nice tablecloth, candles, and wine glasses and we had a beautiful dinner! cost: 50$ 4:30-4:45- Drive to spa on Newbury Street! 445- 630- At the spa, we all went through stations to get different treatments each lasted about 25-30 minutes. They included manicures, pedicures, massages, and hairdos. The four of us sort of rotated through these four stations. It was amazing! It was such a relaxing experience! Manicures- 15$ Pedicures-20$ Hairdos-15$ Massages-40$ In total this cost: 120$ + 80$ + 160$ = 360$ I highly reccommend this experience! 6:30-7:30- Walk around Newbury Street, try on fancy clothes, window shop! 8- Get picked up by a limo on Newbury Street! Inside the limo, which first stopped at my house is a cooler with snacks and drinks and bikinis because we're going to the beach! This was one of my favorite moments of the party! 8:15-10- Party at the beach! There was hardly anyone there so at first we were kind of creeped out.. But then we saw that my sister had driven over and set up candles and tiki torches. She also watched our stuff while we went swimming. The water is also warmer at night so I highly reccomend night swimming! 10-1:30- Drive home in the limo! My sister brought a friend to the beach with her so while we were lounging on the beach they took a ride around as to not waste or time with the limo. 10:30-1230- One of my favorite shows is The OC, so we had a mini marathon! We stopped at Sephora to get some free makeup done! 5-7- Professional Photoshoot!! I contacted tons of art/photography schools and asked if any of them would be up for photographing some girls for practice and a cheap price! Finally, I got a good response. The photographer was a beginner but the photos looked so GOOD because we had never seen anything like this before. He set up some backgrounds for us but we also went outside and shot pictures with the trees! We arranged that we would pay for the materials and then some.
