For my daughters 20th birthday, I gave her a note that read--A gift or surprise is yours every hour Just don't forget or you'll pass till the next hour.  It maybe something little or just a trinket here and there but you will never know for sure until the clock ticks near or on the hour.  The plan is for sure to make the day full of fun. So watch the clock- it starts on the next hour! - On that next hour I gave her a gift. It was a watch with a note that read. -To watch the clock for we must be at place upon each hour-so watch the time & speak up in time hour upon each hour. We need to leave the house today. Just a little before noon- to see what awaits you next my friend so we can be there before noon.-- First, we went to lunch then shopping to buy a top for her.  I took her to pick out her birthday cake and then over to her sisters for a birthday surprise party.  She had a gift or surprise every hour on the hour. One gift was just a large pack of tic tacs (she loves them ) The day ended with one last note and $10.00 that stated--The day is over the day is done. I hope you had some fun.  But you still have one gift to go to stretch the birthday fun. It was money to go and see a show for the next day. She said it was the best birthday she's ever had. Every hour was a little poem and gift or surprise
