This is a great party idea for anyone that wishes to have a fun and unique birthday that no one will forget in a hurry. But I must worn you, there will be work involved. This is a
sleepoverthat is held at your local secluded beach with the permision of your local council.
Decorations; At night I had lanterns strung up everywhere and during the day tropical flowers and beachy type things on display. For cutlery and plates we got Lilo and SAtitch sets. First of all when the guests arrived they receive a lei [around 50c each], the boys came as dorky tourists and the girls bikini babes. SO after everyone had introduced each other we started the aactivities. These were; girls vs. boys volley ball swimming in the ocean learning to hula making grass skirts or hawaiian key rings surfing lessons making bicarbonate of soda and vinegar volcanoes battle of the sexes obstacle course decorating thongs Halfway through that we took a break for lunch the foods were juices and tropical mocktails served in pineapples or coconuts, freshly cut up tropical fruit, fruit lollies, sugar frangipanis and salad. The table was a surfboard and we sat on beach chairs. For dinner we had a pig on spit, roast vegetables and chicken cooked underground, barbequed fruits, fresh salads and fruit juices and mocktails. For a cake we had mango and banana thong shaped swirl cake accompanied by tropical fruit paddlepops and fresh fruit. As for night time activities we had the permision of the council to hold a bonfire, we then had an island band perform for the kids to dance and as it got later we used our projector to screen Lilo and Stitch in the open air. We slept in our sleeping bags under the stars. The next morning we had a breakfast of fresh tropical fruits and juices as well as tropical style cereals. Then we went kayaking, hiking and swimming in the morning before everyone's parents collected them. For party favours the girl got frangipani earrings, necklaces, pencils, thongs, pretty shells and tropical fruit lollies. But the boys got surfboard keyrings, surfing posters, cheap Hawaiian print shirts and tropical fruit lollies.
