For my 14th birthday I decided to have a luau! I had been planning this for a long time. \*>Invitations<\* For the invitations I went to a doller store and bought a package of
invitations that were luau themed. They had printed on there the Who, What, When, Where, Why and RSVP. I filled those out and also made plane tickets on my computer that encluded what we
would be doing at my party and saying that you would have to present these at the door to get in. \*>Decorations<\* I got my decorations at Oriental Trading.com. They were 3 posters of
beach scenes for $3, 2 life size hula girls for $3, lime green and aqua stremers which we hung from the sceling and scatterd around the room. We transformed my basement into a beach. We also
got a Limbo set and set that up in a corner of the room. I also made this pig-roast thing and had a apple in the pigs mouth. We stuck that in the room for theme. \*>Food<\* For dinner
we had two kinds of pizza, Hawaiian, and Cheese. We also had soda and chips. Downstairs we had 2 tables set up, 1 for the presents and gift bags, the other for the snacks: Chips, gold fishys,
Blue Jello with a gramcracker island with a palm tree, more soda, candy and fresh fruit. Once everyone arrived we went down into my basement ((where my party was being held)) and I told them
the instructions to the "Treasure Hunt" we were having at the mall. We were going to split the guests into two teams ((4 people per team)) and gave each team a list. The teams were
decided randomly. The team who compleated the most items on the list won a prize. After the Treasure hunt we went back to my house and dressed up in leis, flower hair clips and sorongs. We
took pictures and posed for the camera in our AWESOME attire! Then at an hour before we were going to eat we learned how to hula. My friend had a tape that taught us how to do 2 dances. Then
after a bunch of laughs we went upstairs and ate the pizza. After we were done eating we played a couple games, limbo, hula hoop contest, and a little white elephant game. But this time we
played it differnt. We made a smaller version of the treasue hunt at my house and hid the gifts arond the house. We made up a series of clues that led to them. Once everyone found the gifts
we let them swap with other people if they wanted. Around this time the party was almost over but we had a few other games to play. Aleeka says!! This is sort of like simon says but different
because who ever Aleeka is they have to call out hula moves and everyone has to do them and the last person standing is the winner. Now everyones parents were there and picked up their
kids...I had alot of fun planing my party!! I hope that my ideas helped you!! Aloha
