For My 14th Birthday I decided it would be fun if i did a Luau themed. So for the invitations I didnt want to buy invitations or do anything to fancy. So i made them on a site (www.evite.com) They were great. They got sent to each of my friends and i got an email whenever someone replied saying if they could come or not. When everyone came to my house i asked them to wear or bring shorts and a tank top so when they came over I could give them there Grass skirt, Flower coved bra and Lei. When we went down to the basement ( where the party took place) There were banners and other decorations. At the table there where name tags on the plates, but they were in hawiian so all the girls had to figure out where they had to sit by figuring out their correct names. After that got sorted out I wanted a game so that all my friends could get to know each other, it is called 2 truths and a lie. What you do is they each get a piece of paper, they write down 2 truths about them and 1 lie. They read it out to everyone and the other people have to guess which is the lie! After that I wanted to just relax, so on a table we had snacks. There were assorted fruits with dip, chips and gold fish crackers! We had punch to drink, and there were umbrella straws! After snacks we did some DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) we also played Taboo!! Then we played Limbo with an inflatable limbo stick and I printed off the steps for the actual Hula!!! After we learned the Hula we played a game similar, we had to pick a hula move out of a hat and preform it. The other kids had to guess what move they did. After we had dinner and cake. Then we opened presents. When everyone had to go home there was no goody bags... I just let them keep There skirts, leis, their bras and if they wanted their Umbrella straws!!!
