For my 14th birthday I wanted 2 have a Luau party. One catch: my birthday's in December. I improvised. I sent out invitations to my 7 closest friends. They were cut out and decorated like
pineapples with the information on the inside. I put their Hawaiian names on the front, which can be found at: http://www.hisurf.com/hawaiian/names.htm For decorations, I bought a
fishnet to cover the tablecloth we had. I bought little paper umbrellas, plates, and napkins, too. The party started at 11, so we had lunch before we left (subs).
We went to a local community college pool to swim for a few hours. After that, we came home and had a few snacks and chatted for a little. For dinner, we had pizza with pineapple. It's not bad!!! I also bought fruits like papaya, pomegranates, pineapple, kiwi, and mango for everyone to try. For goodie bags, I had leis for girls, beachcomber hats 4 guys (they loved those!), candy, and little Hawaiian trinkets that I found in various places such as party supply stores. This party was the best one I've had in years! I really had fun and I hope you will too!
