For my party, since I was turning 13, I wanted to be a little more grown-up and I wanted my party to resemble a beach bar. INVITES: For my invites, I made leis with the party info attached to
them. They looked ultra cute. TIME: I had my party at night, to go more with the cool atmosphere. ARRANGMENTS: For my party, I wanted to have a few different sections. The first section was
on the back deck where you could get all the food. Another, the bar. A third, (Right next to the tables would be the dance floor) and then the pool.DECORATIONS: I have an outside bar, so I
decorated it with a grass skirt and some lias. Also, I bought a little blow up pool from the dollar store and put some ice in it, which is where I kept all the cold drinks. I also had tikki
torches since my mom had a 30th Luau party previously, so I used those as well. If you have a pool, try using some pool candles as well. Mine were lily-pads with some decorative flowers.
(Make sure you take them out before people get in) For tables, I had them close together so that everyone could talk to one another.
SUPERVISION: I got my aunt, (Who is twenty), to sit behind the bar and make all the stuff. DRINKS: For drinks, I got Hank's soda (Which come in bottles), Virgin Pina Colada's, and Fruity mixes. FOODS: We ordered pinnapple pizza (For those who dare), and some plain for the rest of us. SNACKS: Potato Chips, Pretzals, and fresh fruit. CAKE: I had gotten a water ice cake in exotic flavor mixes like lime, tangerine, pink lemonade, and other bright, cute colors. ACTIVITIES: We played limbo, dance contests, marco polo, and some other fun games. COSTUMES: People wore lias and grass skirts over there bathing suits. FAVORS: Every body got to take home a beach ball filled with candy inside, signed, 'Hope you had a fun time' and 'Thanks for coming to my party'. It was an overall success.
