Its my 18th soon, and ive been wanting to have a luau party for ages.. so i decided on it, and these are some of the ideas i came up with. Im going to hire out a hall or maybe a pub so people
can buy drinks over the bar. Im going to fill the hall with sand (putting plastic down first) to go with the kind of beachy theme.. i'll have little lantern lights hanging around the place,
cardboard and crete-paper palm trees all around the place, I'll have a couple of beach balls and some big beach umbrellas and also from other peoples ideas a paper-mache volcano. I'll see if
i can get some tiki god statues to put around, if not i will try to make some. The place will be filled with flowers and palm trees, coconuts, pineapples, and lots of people. I'll set up one
table filled with heaps and heaps of munchies which will have a coconut and pineapple centrepiece, and maybe a few more tables for people to sit around, i'll also have some deck chairs
around. I'll make some big hibiscus and frangipani flowers to stick around the place plus i'll buy a fog machine to let off all the time just to add to the atmosphere. Im going to hire a Dj..
or maybe even have a live band.. i'll have them play hawaiian themed songs. When people arrive i'll give them lei's and a flower to put behind their ear.. I'll ask everyone to dress up
for the theme, e.g Girls will wear bikinis and hula skirts and guys can wear shirts and boardies. Because its an older crowd we'll have some different themed games.. for example key switch,
dancing comps, skullings comps, maybe even an eating contest, spin the bottle and pass-out, those kind of things. I cant wait for my party, i hope it turns out great and is heaps of fun. Good
luck to everyone else with their parties and wish me luck with mine!
