For my friends 19th birthday party we are throwing her a surprise party with a royalty theme. For the invitations we are printing on parchment with a fancy font "You are invited to
a royal gathering" and we will roll them up and tie them with a ribbon. Most of those invited will get these hand delivered...those who are not, we will fold and seal with sealing
wax. For favors we are giving out gold-coin chocolate and treasure chest chocolates wrapped in a square of velvet type fabric tied at the top. We will also give out crowns from a cheap
wholesale co. (oriental trader); and we will give a nice tiara to the Birthday girl. The girls will also get play jewelry rings and necklaces. We are going to make a cake by using a nine inch
sq. pan and layering until it creates a cube, then using cardboard tubes as towers create a castle shape.
We will also serve dinner. With the cake will be ice cream with mini-plastic crowns on top. Decorations will include purple and gold streamers and balloons. As well as extra crowns around the room. All of this will be taking place in the formal dining room of our college, so there will be a definite air of importance. It should be a lot of fun!
