For my 15th birthday in February I am thinking about having a Movie Stars of the Past party focusing on Marilyn Monroe. I will go as Marilyn Monroe (my fav. moviestar) and I will send out a list of other moviestars, just to help my friends get an idea of they would want to come as. My mum will make my cake and it will be of Marilyn with her skirt blowing up, from the Seven Year Itch scene. I am going to get big cutouts of stars like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Betty Grable, Cary Grant, Jean Harlow, Ginger Rodgers, Will Rodgers, and Tyrone Powers etc. I will be playing music such as Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend and other songs sung by Mariln during her career. The cutouts will be placed on the walls in full view of my guests. I am serving beige, black, white and red foods, Marilyn Monroes favorite colors. We will have games such as pass the parcel with prizes like gift certificates for bath and body works, and video stores. For party favors, I will give out heaps of candy and will give them a choice of a nail polish from Sephora or a $5 gift certificate for either bath and body works or a video store, depending on if they are female or male. I still have to polish up the details but that is the main idea of things.
