Hollywood Party 14yr

June 2006

Reiko in Everett, WA, USA

I am turning 14 this year in August. I have decided to do a Hollywood/Oscars Party.  For the invitations, I have used Microsoft Publisher to design a card. I used to title "Want to Be Famous?" in a red font, so it is catchy. As for decorations, I will have everyone come in their most glamorous outfit. They will come to my house in their "limo" (their rides) and walk across the red carpet, which will probably be some butcher paper. The paparazzi will interview the girls like How was your summer?, How are things going with ______? As they enter the house, I will slap on some famous celebrities, and the girls can only ask yes or no questions, say things that drop clues of who they are, and have another person do a charade of them. The first person who figures out who they are will receive a prize (probably some lip gloss, stickers, etc). When everyone has arrived by 10:15am, the movie, Aquamarine will be on the screen. I have a box office set up for the movie, where everyone can "buy" snacks with their plastic coins that will be mentioned on the invites. Otherwise, there will be stars (printed from the computer) with everyone's names on it like a trailer for them. The bathroom will even have a name.  After the movie, there is going to be the pizza lunch with cake and cookies. I have already designed the cake on the computer, and bring it to Fred Meyer or where ever. We will have Diversity Idol after the lunch. Diversity Idol is a parody of American Idol. Since there is people who are Japanese, Chinese, Philippine, Yapese, American, etc, it is not just American anymore. In this contest, there is a Dance Dance Revolution Tournament (and a Loser's Revenge) plus, a lip-synch/dance competition. This will be done in pairs, so the other people are judges like in American Idol.  In the afternoon, we will go for a swim at our local swimming pool. Just for this purpose, I have written in my invitation to bring comfortable clothes for to and from the pool. When we are back from the pool, we will have a makeover contest. Scenario: Two teams are randomly selected and everyone has to be made over in 30 minutes because the Oscar Awards are in 45 minutes. The winning team has to makeover the host in 10 minutes, so she is ready for her part. At the Oscars, I have created actual awards from the Oscars, but twisting it a bit to match the receiver's personality. In the invites, I have mentioned to the girls to think up an acceptance speech for their award. They will not know until the Oscars, but if they are warned, the will be aware. Around 5:30pm, the girls will get collected. While the girls are getting ready to leave, I will slip them their party favor and a piece of candy to let them know how much I love having them around.
