For my 14th birthday i had a hollywood party! I had everyone come dressed as if they were famous. When each person arrived i had a "red carpet" (actually, it was a log, skinny, red tarp...i found it at Micheals) leading up the driveway to my front doorstep. I had a few strobe lights around the red carpet so it looked like flashing cameras. Once they go to my doorstep, my sister was standing there dressed as a reporter and interviewed each of them. Asking the questions like: "Is it true that you and Brad Pitt are no longer dating?", and "What does it feel like to be nominated for 6 awards at the upcoming oscars?". One 3 of my friends got there, we stood on my drive way screaming when more guests arived. :) When we all got inside, the activities began! First we did a photo shoot of each of the girls, with my digital camera. ( after the party, i would email the pictures to all my friends!) After the photo shoot, we were going to make movies...but before every movie, we had to auditiion. i made up a small script that my friends could read from, and i filmed them while the read from it. ( It was fun to watch the auditions at the end of the party when all of my friend were getting picked up.) the audititions didnt really determine parts or anything like that...i just did them for fun. i already had my guests divied into groups. there were 14 guests and i divided them into 3 groups. each group made a movie based on one of these: Peter Pan, Cinderella, or Snow white. After the movies were made, we had an "Oscar Meyers". We all watched the films and voted for best movie, best actress, best supporting actress, etc. i gave each winner and Oscar Meyer Weener!! Everyone thought that was really funny. After that everyone went home. The house was decorated with glittery, golden, things. i had black streamers, and a TON of red ballons. the red and black combo looked really good with all the gold decorations! For dinner i had my brother dress up as a waiter and serve us "appetisers" which were small slices of crustless bread, and a veriety of deli meats served on a silver platter". for snacks, we had chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered strawberries, oranges, chips, TONS of soda pop, and thing like that. It was a real hit!
