For my 13th Birthday I decided to have a Hawaiian Dance Party! I rented the local American Legion hall and got tropical themed decorations. It was too expensive to hire a dj so i just made a playlist on my ipod and used my ipod speakers. I got pizza (hawiian of course) chips fruit kababs and some candy. I also had alot of diffrent types of soda.  When my friends got there we danced for a while then played a game called pop the coconut. You tie a brown balloon around your ankle with a green piece of ribbon.  Then you run around and try to stop other peoples coconut while avoiding yours getting caught. It was a really good icebreaker so that the girls and boys got to dance together. Then after some more dancing and eating we played limbo and had a hula hoop contest.  The winners of all these games got a gift bag with a 7 dollar starbucks giftcard and some candy inside. Then we had cake and opened presents.  At the end of the party, we gave the prize away to the most tropically dressed. The girls wore bathing suits over tops and flower in their hair, and the guys wore coconut bras and bathing suits.  Everyone had a great time! Make Sure to take a lot of pictures!
