For my 13th birthday party invitations i folded construction paper in thirds and decorated them to look like wallets so when you open them you'd have the info(date time where RSVP etc.)i invited 14 girls and 14 guys(they were to come later). to decorate for the later-on beach party i set up a tiki bar(table with a grass skirt and smoothies and other drinks) i gathered wood for a bon-fire and went shopping for marshmellows, hot dogs, hamburgers etc. me and my parents put tiki torches around the pool and sand pit and volley ball court. we hung cardboard palm trees from real trees and corners of the house. the girls were to come to my house at 2pm and with some help we drove to the mall. my parents randomly split us into pairs and we were all given a non-digital camera and a list of thinds to do. the list included silly things like get a guy to tie up your shoes or something. the catch was you had to take a picture of it. we were allowed 90 minutes to complete the list and then we had one hour to shop. after that we were driven back to my place and the guys arrived. we played beach volleyball, swam in the pool, played some fun games like truth or dare, chicken fights(in pool)etc. we opened presents and then had some cake. we had the idea of having a cake fight which was totally awesome even thouh we were picking cake out of our hair for the rest of the night. we enjoyed a bonfire and roasted marshmellows and had smores. my parents had the pictures developed while we were having fun. this was part of the loot bags which were filled with candy. the bags i used for the loot bags were ift bags that looked like shopping bags.
