For my 13th birthday, I am going to have a beach themed party. For invitations, I am keeping it easy and sending out an Evite to all of my friends. On it I will tell my friends to wear their favorite bikini and beach clothes like short shorts, a tanktop, flip flops, and sunglasses.  Everyone will arrive at my house at 11 AM and take two cars to the beach which is 45 minutes from my house.  Once we get there we will head to the picnic tables at a local spot and eat our prepared subs from Publix, lots of chips, and sodas/water! After we finish eating my friends and I will set up our towels and things in a spot away from my parents and 5 year old brother. Then we will go into the Gulf and swim/boogie board/body surf/just hang out in the water.  At some point we can go to a nearby volleyball net and play volleyball, or nuekome a fun game where instead of hitting the ball, you pass it and throw it over the net. Same rules as volleyball apply, but the server must pass it, you can pass it 3 times, you can only have the ball for 3 seconds and if you catch it after it goes over the net you must pass. It is really fun!  If some girls are tired they can go lie down on their towels and tan, while the rest of us hang in the water or the volleyball court. Later, we will set up a blanket on the sand and open presents while we eat Island Way Sorbet (sorbet in fruit shells ; http://www.islandwaysorbet.com/ )that will take the place of cake. We are all part of the drama class at school and take part in musicals, so we will be comfortable singing Happy Birthday on the crowded Florida beach in the middle of June.  We will head back to my house where parents will pick up my friends after an amazing day.
